Sinclair Smith & Co is a multi-disciplinary design studio in Brooklyn working mainly in the areas of product design, interior design and strategic consulting. Services also include design/build contracting, furniture fabrication, prototyping, graphic design and illustration.

About Sinclair

 
I was raised in New York City in the 70s and 80s by an architect and an architectural critic and developed a passion for the built environment. After over a decade of leading design teams on a wide variety of projects, I have formed a close community of builders, craftsmen, designers, architects, engineers and manufacturers. I founded ss&co with the simple premise that no single design team can be perfect for every job. I tailor every production team to each client’s specific needs by assembling and collaborating with the people whose skills can best manifest that particular client’s vision. I measure success not by my ability to make my client’s work look like it came from me, but by my ability to make my work look like it came from my clients.

I have a master’s degree in industrial design from Pratt Institute and am on the faculty of the Products of Design graduate program at SVA.
