Tear drop cleat from Perko
By SinclairDude, how beautiful is that? Looks like some Raymond Loewy little doodad. It wouldn’t surprise me if it indeed came off a die someone made from a part from one of his yachts. The base is a little fat. But still. Gorgeous.

GE electric motor logo plate
By SinclairThe combination of the red GE logo plate against the teal blue body of this electric air compressor motor is gorgeous. Perfect 50s industrial color. Btw, that’s the axle bearing housing there with a set screw on top for securing the bearing inside. It’s a perfect place for their logo in form and symbol.

The resurgence of fans?
By SinclairI was happy to read this article in the Times about ceiling fans. There’s too much AC in the world. We can’t afford. It’s not sustainable. Ironically it’s only making the planet hotter. At the very least, adding a ceiling fans to an HVAC system can seriously improve overall efficiency.
