It seems these days that almost every young designer has a three piece, slot-fit stool. This is mine.
10 were made and given away as gifts. I followed up on them to see how they’re being used.
The stool leg parts
The legs slot fit together and receive a seat on top.
Parts for 10 stools fit on a 4 x 8" sheet of plywood, so 10 stools were made.
Leslie Armstrong AIA keeps hers next to her mini-Barcelona Chair. (Thanks mom. No pressure...)
Creative director Jeff Staple gave up the task chair for standing and uses his Demeter Stool as a mouse pad pedestal.
Creative and marketing director Dmitri Siegel gave his to his son Arlo. An instant heirloom!
I am not sure exactly what the Meathook and the Brooklyn Kitchen use theirs for but it moves around a lot in the shop and they make it work. So that's good.
Shinji & Maho Mizutani keep theirs in the ladies' room of their japanese restaurant "1 or 8." Right under the toilet paper. (Whatever that means.)
My son Henry uses his for all kinds of crazy stuff.
